Quill Privacy Policy

1. What Quill processes

When you save content with Quill, the app may process the text, URL, title, source app, selected Obsidian folder structure, and basic request metadata required to complete the action. This is necessary to generate a title, summary, target folder suggestion, and markdown output.

2. We do not store your note content

User-provided note content is processed only for the lifetime of a request. Quill Backend receives the content, asks an AI provider to organize it, returns the result to your iPhone, and discards the original content after processing. We do not keep note bodies, prompts, model responses, embeddings, or vector search indexes for your content.

3. Your Obsidian vault stays yours

Quill writes markdown files into the vault folder selected by you. Existing notes in your vault are not uploaded or analyzed. Quill may read folder names so it can suggest where a new note belongs, but it does not read the content of your existing markdown files.

4. Data kept for app functionality

Quill may keep an anonymous app-generated user ID, monthly AI usage counters, rate-limit counters, subscription state when applicable, and small on-device capture history such as title, target folder, timestamp, and source. The local history does not include the full note body.

5. AI providers

Quill sends user-provided content to an AI provider only to perform the requested organization task. Provider choice may change over time. Data sent by Quill is not used by Vinci Studio for advertising, resale, or model training.

6. Voice input

Voice transcription uses Apple's speech recognition capabilities on the user's device where available. Transcribed text is treated like any other note text only after the user chooses to save it.

7. Tracking and advertising

Quill does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal data. Quill does not track users across other apps or websites.

8. Delete requests

You can remove local Quill history by deleting the app. To request deletion of server-side anonymous identifiers and quota counters, email hyx920503@gmail.com. We will respond within 7 days.

9. Changes

We may update this policy as Quill changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
